Partner Program: Community Consulting Project: Lessons from the Field

This program is hosted by the Oregon Organization Development Network. MNODN members can register for this partner program as usual, using the links below.

Program Description:

Like MNODN, Oregon's ODN Chapter is home to a Community Consulting Program (CCP) which provides OD consulting to local nonprofits using teams of volunteers from their chapter. Join this session to learn about the work Oregon ODN’s CCP does, highlighting three recent community consulting projects. Team members will present their project, the OD strategies and tools used, challenges, and outcomes.

The event will focus on the OD principles and methodologies used by recent CCP teams to meaningfully develop:

  • Leadership and team building

  • Communication and reorganization challenges

  • Employee recognition

  • Implementation of platforms for facilitation of employee recognition

You’ll come away with valuable tips that you can apply to working with non-profit clients, decide if you would like to lend your expertise to a future CCP project.

About the Presenters

Alisa Blum, Judy Sugg, and Sarah Budd were the Lead and/or Senior Consultant who guided their respective teams and ensured that the client received a quality consulting service. They have significant consulting experience and command credibility with clients as well as volunteer consultants.

In their CCP’s roles, they were responsible for the overall quality of the project, Oregon ODN’s mission of community service, and for providing a basis of team and individual learning around consultancy skills. They all took an active role in meeting with the team, and staying in touch with the client.
